Kait Backus is a videographer, video editor, photographer, and, like many of her subjects, a comedian living in Portland, Oregon. In 2012, she failed her first chemistry class as a freshman at WWU and immediately gave up her dreams of one day being a better surgeon than Meredith Gray. She ended up with a communication degree, minors in both Spanish and theater and swears she didn’t just pull those out of a hat.
After many years of testing many different careers, Kait finally recognized a theme and quit her full time job as a Volunteer Coordinator in 2024. She now has an associates degree in video production, a bit of debt, and a huge enthusiasm for queer comedy and the documentation of it. She is excited to keep trying new things with new people!
